Eugene S. Acevedo is the President and CEO of RCBC, one of the largest banks in the Philippines. He is a multi-awarded leader in digital banking and transformation.
After completing his MBA from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), he entered Citibank as an Executive Trainee. In 23 years, he had assignments across Asia, the last as Managing Director and Head of Global Markets for the Hong Kong and Taiwan Cluster. He was previously Head of Asia Derivatives Structuring and Sales based in Singapore. In addition to his business roles, he sponsored management training programs and chaired the Markets Asia Recruitment Committee. He left to serve as President and CEO of Philippine National Bank.
Eugene started his leadership journey at La Salle by chairing his high school student council, and later at the University of San Carlos where he also led other student organizations. On the side, he majored in physics and finished it as a magna cum laude. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
In 2024, he published the books Never Stand Alone and Reinvent and Outperform: Becoming a Better Leader. In April 2025, Never Stand Alone received the 2025 Gold Quill Award for Writing, presented by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
He posts regularly on LinkedIn where he was awarded top community voice badges on leadership, strategy and management.
